volunteers was carried out by proDERM
Institute for applied Dermatological
Research, Schenefeld/Hamburg, Germany,
under strict laboratory conditions. We do not
believe in animal testing and SKIN.NY® products are not tested
on animals. What are the active ingredients in SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams?
QAL-100™ is the unique active ingredient
complex, which is key to the success of the
SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams. It contains
three highly active ingredients, Alpha Lipoic
Acid, Co-enzyme Q10 and Acetyl-LCarnitine,
which together work synergistically
against the effects of ageing. What makes SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams
so unique compared to other anti-ageing
creams?
Most cosmetic preparations on the market
only treat the epidermis. Their ingredients
contain molecules which are too large to
penetrate down into the dermis, resulting in
little or no effect. In this context, both the
Alpha Lipoic Acid and Co-enzyme Q10 in
SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams are unique in
that they both penetrate the dermis where
skin repair can take place.
The other difference between SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams and other anti-wrinkle
products is that the dramatic wrinkle
reducing effect of the SKIN.NY® range has
been proven in a double blind clinical trial
and the results published in the British Journal
of Dermatology, which is a first for a
cosmetic product. In simple terms the
products do what they claim to do. It is not
just marketing and sexy ads. Are there any side effects associated with
SKIN.NY®?
Directly upon application, some people
experience a slightly tingling sensation. This is
a temporary and completely normal
reaction indicating the use of a highly active
cream. Briefly, how do the SKIN.NY® Radical Face
Creams work?
QAL-100™ is a powerful antioxidant and
increases cell defences against free radicals,
which play a major role in skin ageing.
QAL-100™ complex regenerates vitamin C,
which increases the production of collagen
and actively repairs sun-damaged and
wrinkled skin. QAL-100™ increases cell energy production
by increasing the efficiency of enzymes
involved in converting vitamin A-to-vitamin A
acid. The latter increases collagen
production.
The cream also has a muscle-astringent
effect, thus increasing skin vitality.
How quickly do the products provide their
effect?
This varies between people. Some will notice
the positive effects after 2 weeks whereas
others may see results after a month. Most
people appear to notice reduced pigment
spots and pore size quite quickly and wrinkle
reduction after slightly longer use. Who should use the product?
All those wishing to either prevent formation
of or treat wrinkles and those with sundamaged
skin. The products are suitable for
all ages and both women and men. What is the youngest age SKIN.NY® would be
suitable for?
The creams are suitable for all ages wishing
to treat sun damage, large pores, mild
scarring or fine lines on the facial area. We
believe that women should start using the
product as young as their mid-twenties to
prevent skin damage and lines from
appearing. Do I need to use a separate moisturiser
along with SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams?
This depends on the individual skin type and
preference. If the skin is dry then a separate,
suitable moisturiser may be required, which
can be applied after applying SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams. However, most normal
/ combination skin types find that they do
not require a separate moisturiser. Are SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams suitable
for all skin types?
Yes, SKIN.NY® Radical face creams are
suitable for all skin types. People with
sensitive skin are recommended to start with
the Radical Daily Precision cream as it has a
gentler formula that the Radical Restructure
Complex whilst remaining very effective.
Again, it is vital to do a patch test first.
Is the tingling sensation after applying the
creams normal?
It is normal for some people to experience a tingling sensation
on the skin, it does not mean you are allergic
to the cream; rather it is indicative of the
highly active nature of the cream itself.
These symptoms usually last no more than 30
mins. If you are showing sensitivity, we
recommend applying the cream every
second day during the first week. In the
second week, apply once daily and
increase to the normal application of twice
daily in the third week. Alternatively, you
may wish to switch to Radical Daily Precision,
which has a lower level of the active
ingredient complex QAL-100™. Can I apply make-up straight after
application of SKIN.NY® Radical Face
Creams?
Allow a few minutes for the product to
absorb, and then apply make-up as normal. Can men use the SKIN.NY® Radical Face
Creams?
This product is suitable for both men and
women. Given that men are using more
cosmetics and taking better care of their
skin, the SKIN.NY® Radical face creams are
ideal for the man who wants to maintain or
regain a youthful complexion. Why do the SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams
not contain U.V. protection?
SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams are primarily
anti-wrinkle and ant-ageing creams. It is
impossible to add sun factor to the unique
formula without altering its stability and most
likely, the results. We advise SKIN.NY® Radical
Face Cream users against exposing their skin
to strong sunlight directly after application. Do I apply SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams
before or after sunscreen?
We do not recommend that SKIN.NY® Radical face creams be immediately
exposed to sunlight. However, if you do wish
to use the cream in conjunction with
sunscreen then it is best to apply the
SKIN.NY® Radical Face Cream first, allow it to
absorb and then apply a suitable sunscreen
for your skin type. Can I use fake tan with SKIN.NY® Radical
Face Creams?
Yes, but ensure that you use a good quality
product recommended by an experienced
cosmetics advisor. Could SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams work
on skin scars e.g. from acne?
SKIN.NY® Radical face creams have not
been clinically tested for reducing scar
formation as a result of acne. For this reason
we cannot categorically state that it will
have an effect. However, in an open clinical
study* in the USA, a cream containing 5%
lipoic acid did show favourable effect on
skin scar formation.

reduce pigment spots?
Test subjects with pigment spots have been
too few to enable a statistically significant
calculation. During the clinical and
photographic assessment, the number as
well as the distribution of pigment spots did
decrease. Many of those using SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams have been notably
satisfied with this effect. How long would a tube of SKIN.NY® Radical
Face Creams last?
Applied morning and night, both the 50ml
Face Creams and 15ml Eye Contour should
last approximately 45 days. Do the SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams
contain mineral oils or metals?
No the SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams are
free from all mineral oils and metals. Could
you recommend SKIN.NY® Radical
Face Creams to people with irritated or
allergic skin disorders?
SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams increase
blood flow in superficial vessels and would
not be recommended. People with a
diagnosed skin disease should always consult
a dermatologist prior to use. Can you use both SKIN.NY® Radical
Restructure Complex & Radical Daily
Precision together?

Yes, you can safely use both in combination. How long should I use SKIN.NY® Radical
Restructure Complex before changing to
Radical Daily Precision?
This is entirely an individual choice. All of the
SKIN.NY® Radical face creams are safe to use
on a long-term basis. Once you have
achieved the desired results using the
Radical Restructure Complex, you may wish
to switch to the Radical Daily Precision to
maintain and improve these results but many
people continue to use the Radical
Restructure Complex on an ongoing basis. Will SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams react with
any other skincare products?
We have had no reported instances where
the SKIN.NY® Radical Face Creams have
reacted with any other skincare products. Can you use the SKIN.NY® Radical
Face Creams on a long term basis?
You can use the SKIN.NY® Radical Face
Creams safely on a long-term basis.
